Daniel Savell is the Adolescent Guide/Language Humanities Specialist at Wheaton Montessori School.
Daniel joined the Adolescent Community in August 2025. Daniel most recently worked as a Children’s Librarian Associate at the Naperville Public Library, where he designed interactive programs for children and families and collaborated with schools to create educational events. He has also been a Physical Education Teacher, leading sports programs and fostering an inclusive environment for students of all abilities. His background in physical education will support the development of movement skills and promote healthy lifestyles among adolescents. Additionally, Daniel has significant experience in the restaurant industry, which he applies in the kitchen lab in the adolescent community.
Daniel has a Master of Arts degree in History from Illinois State University. His undergraduate work includes a B.A. in History, a minor in English with an emphasis on writing, and experience as a writing tutor.
When not in the classroom, you can find Daniel playing board games, hiking, or reading a good book. More often than not he can be found spending time with his family. He really loved the Series of Unfortunate Events in Elementary school and could eat breakfast food for every meal. He would like to thank Dr. Pinnen, Mrs. Lyons, and Mrs. Halleck for instilling a love of reading and history and being patient with him in his schoolwork.
