ANIAH BERDICK

Aniah Berdick is the Lower Elementary Teacher Assistant at Wheaton Montessori School.

Aniah is a proud alumni of Wheaton Montessori School, having completed preschool through 9th grade as part of the school's first graduating class. She continues to be an ambassador for continuing Montessori through adolescence. Aniah joined Mrs. Tracy Fortun’s classroom in August 2025. While studying at Southern Illinois University, she completed an internship cataloging artifacts from past projects and assisting with archaeological surveys. She also served as president and instructor of a rock climbing club and has lifeguarding experience, including training in first aid and CPR.

Aniah has a Master of Arts degree in Theology and Ecology from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics and Anthropology from Southern Illinois University.

When she’s not in the classroom, Aniah can be found running or rock climbing. She enjoys spending time with her family and her cat, Toothless, named after the dragon. As a child, she enjoyed reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan, and in the classroom could spend all day immersed in books about Greek mythology. Her classmates even voted her “Most Likely to Become a Greek Mythologian.”
