ELEAH BERDICK

Eleah Berdick is a Primary Teacher Assistant and Communications Designer at Wheaton Montessori School.

Eleah is a proud alumni of Wheaton Montessori School’s first 9th-grade graduating class. She continues to be an ambassador for continuing Montessori through adolescence. Eleah officially joined the staff as a long-term substitute assistant at Wheaton Montessori School in the fall semester of 2024, following a request from Mrs. Jennifer Rogers. While assisting Mrs. Rogers, Eleah demonstrated her versatility and commitment to supporting each learner and campus life. Eleah demonstrates her versatility and dedication by providing support to all primary classrooms as needed, and also effectively connects with both the elementary and adolescent students. While not in the classroom, she prioritizes service and connection by using her skills in visual storytelling, digital media, print, and branding to create engaging and customized designs with meticulous attention to detail.

Eleah earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts cum laude in Communication Design from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. She graduated with honors by completing 10 hours of community service each semester and maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Additionally, she took five honors courses and participated in two honors seminars.

Eleah enjoys swimming, oil painting, audiobooks, cooking, and time with her family and cat. A favorite memory at Wheaton Montessori School is a classmate's experiment on how color affects flavor expectations by creating colorful drinks. Students guessed flavors by sight before tasting. Eleah eagerly drank what she thought was orange Fanta, only to find out it was salt water, leaving her in disbelief.

Her favorite books are from the Percy Jackson series. She is thankful for Mrs. Bertha Taylor, Mrs. Delfina Rivera, Mrs. Tracy Fortun, and Ms. Emily Searcy, who supported her passions and interests during her primary and elementary years at Wheaton Montessori School.
